March Madness I Tell Ya...

And I'm not talking about basketball. I hate watching basketball..funny to me because when I was in high school, that's the sport that I cheered for. La de da....Well, I posted our snow day pictures from the first of March and then we had 70degree weather just a few days later so Allison and I took the kids to play at the playground.

Dee-deed getting in on some of the fun.

Last week was Spring break for our region but Meggy and I didn't break. We kept trucking it through school but one day I did decide to take the kids to the zoo. Field trip!! I probably should have re-thought that outing because not only was it Spring break week but it was half price day and I later found out that they debuted the kangaroos that day too. You would have thought that there was someone famous hanging out at the zoo that day because I have never in my life seen it that busy. There were cars parked out on the main road to get to the zoo. It was crazy but I was determined to find a parking spot up close to the entrance. We circled the parking lot several times and prayed hard that God would allow us to find us a close parking spot and sure enough, He did. I was soo glad. The line to get in the zoo was all the way out to the parking lot on all six windows but thankfully our window moved pretty fast. We finally got in and the fun started. The kids were soo good and stayed close to me. Here are some pictures from our fun outing at the zoo.

Yes, there was some canoodling going on in the reptile building. Aside from all of the adults laughing, the phrases that kept coming back to me were "Smack that" and "Baby got back". I'm sorry, but the male turtle just kept smacking the females shell...it was hilarious. THANK GOODNESS none of the kids asked me what was going on. OH and I wasn't the only one taking pictures okay??

The Stork....just thought that was appropriate for me right now.

Their BIG DEBUT and what were they doing??? Being lazy!

The kids were especially excited to see the "joeys". There were five in all.

Sad to say, but this is about the best shot we could get...his butt.

Being lazy too or sun bathing??

Take one.

Take two.

Take three....looks as though they are praising Jesus.

Again, being lazy. I wanted to see some action. Throw him some meat or something and get him up running around and roaring! Oh well.

Oh and this guy cracked me up!! If you know my husband then you know that he would NEVER do this.

Despite the crowds it was a fun time! We did have one casualty though. Boogs had taken his favorite long neck dinosaur in with him and carried it around the whole day but when we got towards the end I noticed he didn't have it anymore. We retracked all of our last steps in search of the lost dinosaur but couldn't ever find it. We don't know where he misplaced it and the whole rest of the day he kept saying "I miss my rawr"..that's what he calls dinosaurs. Awwww.
