Not Funny...Hilarious!!!

Our friend Courtney and her family were also at the beach the same time we were, so we took the opportunity to hang out one afternoon. Such fun and the kids had a great time playing together!

The Crab Trap has a great playground in the back for the kids to play on while waiting to be seated or eat. It's great!

Just Beachy

This time last week I was enjoying the beach, enjoying the weather, enjoying my family.....just enjoying life!! We had such a great time!! We stayed at Turquoise Place and it was beautiful! Not kidding when I say that our condo was bigger than mine and David's first house! We were so blessed by a sweet precious lady that allowed us to stay there! Thank you Mrs. C. !! :)

Master bath....look at that shower! It was huge! And that tub!! Sadly I never made the time to take a bubble bath in it, but maybe next year! ;)

I thought I had gotten a picture of our balcony but guess not, but it had a hot tub and a grill on it! I must say that I did enjoy the hot tub and the grill was nice because we grilled out steaks and shrimp one night. It was sooo yummy! :)

It was such a wonderful place to stay with lots of amenities! It had a lazy river, indoor pool with slide and two huge hot tubs, playground, workout room, sauna and steam rooms (all on the 4th floor) and it also had an awesome outside pool with zero entry on one side and waterfall thingy under a bridge that went over the outside pool. Sounds like I'm plugging a commercial for them doesn't it? We were just so excited. It's the nicest place we have ever stayed at! I surely hope we get to stay there again!

Now, the lazy river was awesome! The kids could have stayed there the entire week and been just fine! They absolutely loved it!!





One thing that I really liked was that the pools didn't have chlorine in them. It was like saline....salt water. You know how when you stay all day at the pool with chlorine in it, you feel gross? It wasn't that way at all with these pools. Your skin felt so smooth and soft! Of course if you got some of it in your mouth that was kinda gross but who goes around drinking pool water anyway? LOL!

Apparently I took over 500 photos while down at the beach...don't worry, I'm not going to post all 500 pics here. I'll have to weed through them and delete the ones that didn't turn out well, but there are some interesting ones in the bunch! Hopefully I can get those posted soon so be sure and come back to see them!! :)

I hope each of you are doing well, having a fabulous summer and paying attention to all of the blessings in your life! There are so many little ones everyday that we sometimes miss out on because of a sour attitude....me included! I pray that I continually see the blessings in my life and always be joyful no matter what the circumstance!!

Urgent Prayer Request

I hope each of you are doing well and having a great summer. We sure are!! At this very moment I am sitting on the 14th floor of our condo watching and listening to the waves roll in. It's been beautiful here all week and I will be so sad when we have to leave tomorrow. I'll post pics and share more about our trip hopefully next week, but right now I have a request.

My best friend from high school, Stephanie, is in the hospital. She is 33 weeks pregnant and in pre-term labor. Please pray for her and her sweet little one. She needs to try and make it to 36 weeks so they have her on bed rest but she is still having consistent contractions. Please lift them up. Please pray that God will allow the contractions to stop and that the baby will stay in her womb until at least 36 weeks. Please also pray for a safe delivery for her and the baby!

Summer Break...HUH?

Can you believe it is already July? Our summer break is half way over. :( It has gone by so fast but we've been having so much fun! I have really enjoyed the kids being home with me. Not to say that there hasn't been some trying times because let's face it....they are kids and they are not always going to get along or obey, but overall I've loved them being here. I have loved not having to be somewhere at a specific time or running here and there everywhere everyday. You get the picture. It's been nice!

Thankfully we live in a neighborhood that has a humongous pool so we have spent a lot of our days there. The kids are getting so brown and getting a great base tan for when we go to the beach in a few weeks. We are soo ready too!!

Speaking of getting a tan, I ran across THIS article a week or so ago and thought it was interesting. Wondering if any of you have any thoughts on it?? Let me know!!

David took a few days off and decided that we should paint the kids rooms....HAHA! For two and a half days, I was marked in Harmonious Rose and Baritone Blue. The rose turned out to be more like peptobismal pink but I love it! It's so girly and it almost glows! We still have some decorating to do in both rooms...it's coming along.





I like the color of the boys room but I wasn't so happy with the paint job because I'm a perfectionist and I felt like it could have been done better. But my sweet husband reminded me that we don't live in a perfect house or live a perfect life and our paint job doesn't have to be perfect and it doesn't mean that I'm less worthy of a person or that I can't do things "perfectly" like other people. I know I'm not perfect, far from it, but I strive to do things right because I hate doing something half way or just doing enough to get by. Things were done like that as I grew up and I hated it. I was really down on myself about this can't you tell? I'm just so thankful for him and for his encouragement! I love it when he shares his little nuggets with me! :)

We had a great 4th of July weekend and even shot off some fireworks. Pudgie didn't like them too much but that's ok. He will one day!

He tried something new the other day....freshly shucked sweet corn on the cob....seems as though he likes it!!











We've got some interesting changes coming our way in the next few weeks and even though I don't handle change very well, I'm excited to see what God will do through these new changes. We have to remember to keep our eyes on Jesus and trust His will for our lives!
