We Are Done =(

This weekend was the State Tournament in Pinson for the 5yr old All Stars teams. We had a game Friday night and lost by just a few points and then another game today. Our guys played a great game but ended up losing 31-30. We were ahead most of the game, but then the other team caught up. There was a couple out there taking action shots so the picture in yesterday and today's posts are from them. I love how they turned out.

Sadly, this was it for us. I really am sad too. More so than I thought I would be. I really enjoyed going to all the games during the regular season and during the All Star season. I loved seeing Bud improve at every game and practice. I know Bud and all the other little guys need a break but I can't wait for Fall ball. I sure hope Bud wants to play!!

We are so proud of you Bud!! You did great this season for this being your first year to play baseball! We love you so much!! =)

Catching Up

Last night, Allison and I had the opportunity to go out to dinner with an old friend, Wendy, that we haven't seen in probably 20 years. Actually, she was my brother's girlfriend and my cheerleading sponsor back when we were in Jr. high and we just loved her! Yes, I do realize that yesterday was Father's Day but I have a wonderful hubby who understood about her being in town this weekend for her 20 year high school reunion and he said he was totally fine with me leaving him on Father's Day. Isn't he so sweet!

We had a great time catching up with each other lives, sharing kids stories and talking about how good God is.

Here is a picture of the cheerleading squad that I was on when Wendy was my sponsor. I think this was in 1989. Look at that hair! Can you find me in this gosh awful picture? I was the dorky looking one...Oh wait! We all look dorky in this picture! LOL!



We really enjoyed our visit and hope to be able to do it again the next time she is in town! :)

Just Wanted to Say...

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to my sweet hubby!! I'm so glad God chose you to be the dad of our kids. You are awesome and they love you so much, as do I!!

Happy Father's Day to you too dad! I hope it has been a relaxing and lazy day for you! I love you!

Law of the Garbage Truck

Interesting.....


One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.

Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so . . . love the people who treat you right. Forgive the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Treading Water

Yep, that's how I feel these days. I feel like I just can't keep my head above water. I'm still trying to get adjusted to having a newborn in the house. It's been 3 1/2 years since Boogs was born and somewhere in that 3 1/2 years, I have forgotten what it's like with a newborn. Oh don't get me wrong, he's a good baby! I just seem to have forgotten about the eating every 2-3 hours, the no sleep at night while they sleep during the day, the "out of the diaper and needs immediate bath" kind of poops and so on. I love it! And he's so sweet and I guess between all the sweetness and millions of kisses I have given him, the tiredness that I feel just fades away.



We have been so busy with Bud playing All Stars. Two weekends ago was their first tournament. They played that Friday night and got creamed. Then they played that Saturday and lost by one point because the umpire said that the other teams little guy was safe at home plate but he didn't even touch the home base plate. Our team knew who really won! We were all disappointed that we had lost those first two games. They told us that we were going to play on that Sunday to make up for the game on Thursday that got cancelled due to rain. We got to the tournament and found out that if we won the game , then they would play again and if they won that game then they would play a third game. Yep, potential to play three games on that Sunday afternoon.




Well, guess what??


They played that first game on Sunday and won! So they had a little break and then played the second game. Guess what? They won that game too! Then they had about a 30min break and played the third game. Guess what? They won the third game, beat the number one team & became the CHILTON COUNTY INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONS!! WAY TO GO EAGLES!!!!!!!! We were all so excited. It turned out to be a great weekend (except for the fact that one of our little team mates,the coaches son no doubt, got hit in the head with a ball and was rushed to the ER. He's ok now but had a pretty good little mark on his head.)

So Much To Do & Not Enough Time

It seems these days that I have so much to blog about but just not enough time in the day to actually do it. Here are a few things that have been going on with us in the latter part of May and beginning of June.

Bud had his award ceremony for baseball.





We are just so proud of him!! He has improved so much since the beginning of the season!


Our new little man (mental note to self...come up with nickname) enjoyed the award ceremony so much that he did nothing but be loved being held by his Dee-deed. I hope that sounds right...it sounds right in my head. LOL!



Boogs was a little bored I must say.


The Tuesday after little man was born, I had to take him to the Dr for them to do a check up. They told me that his billiruben levels were up from when he was in the hospital so they wanted him to do some photo therapy. A nurse came to the house and set up his little bed and showed me what to do . I thought for sure that little man would hate sleeping on that thing, but he loved it. I think it made him feel warm and secure. For me, I cried. Only because none of our other kids had to do anything like that and I wasn't sure what to expect or what would happen or how it would all work. But thank goodness he was only on it for two days!

I still want to explain how God worked things out in our little man's entrance into this world and post the pics from that day, but that will have to be later.

I hope each of you are enjoying the blessings in your life as I am. David is on vacation this week and we have enjoyed him being here with us. This is the first time he's been able to be off for a consistent number of days since little man was born so it's extremely nice. We've been taking the kids to the pool, painting our bonus room downstairs and he is actually tiling our bathroom now as I type this. He's such a manly man...and I am sooo glad too! :)

I Would Like to Introduce...

Our newest little M&M! He was born on May 22nd at 2:07pm and he was 7lbs 13oz., and 20in long. Isn't he just beautiful!









I am so in love with my husband, babies and am blessed more than I could have ever hoped for! :)

Forgotten? Nooooo.....

I haven't forgotten about blogging...I'm just trying to get adjusted to being a mom of four now and trying to get in some extra sleep. LOL! :)
