Please keep my mom, her family and us in your prayers as we are mourning the loss of my precious Mama. She passed away this morning and we know that she is rejoicing with Jesus in heaven but those of us left behind are sad and will be for a while. Thank you.

I was tagged...
I like doing these "tagging" posts although sometimes I don't always have the time or necessarily like to "tag" others, but this one seemed easy and fun!
The Rules:
1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer
2) Select the 4th picture in the folder
3) Explain the picture
4) Tag 4 people to do the same. No cheating (cropping, editing, etc.)
Here is my choice:
This was Bud back in March of 2008. We were getting ready to dye Easter eggs and he gave me a little quirky smile. Too cute!

Ok, so I'm going to tag:
1)Allison B.
2)Allison C. B.
3)Bethany
2)Sara
Have fun ladies and let me know if you decide to post a picture. :)

Gooshyness
Last night, David and I had the opportunity to go on a date! Thanks to Dee-deed for watching the kids so we could go and enjoy ourselves!
We started out by going to one of our favorite restaurants, Outback! We thought about trying something new but David was in the mood for a really good steak and Outback never disappoints so we just decided to go there. We waited for about 30min and finally were seated in a spot that was just perfect. It was in a corner booth and they weren't seating anybody in the booth behind us so we had no one around us. We sat and had actual adult conversation and it was soo nice. With him working so much lately we've missed the adult talk with one another. We started talking about how we couldn't believe this coming October, we would be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. My how the years have flown by. Funny thing, he told me that on the day of our wedding and when we were standing at the front of the church, he was wishing that all the "wedding stuff" was already over and we had already been married 10 years. I asked him why he would have thought that and he said it was because he was sooo nervous. David is the type of person that doesn't really like attention on himself. He would rather sit in the back and be quiet than draw attention to himself. Now don't get me wrong, when he feels wronged he'll definitely let you know it, but otherwise he's quiet and stays out of the lime light, especially when he doesn't really know anyone. And the thought of him standing in front of all of those people, most of whom he didn't know, that day was terrifying to him. But, he got through it and we laughed about how things went with the wedding and looking back, how we would have changed several things. One thing that made me smile last night was the way he told me how pretty I looked that day. He's told me that in the past but something in the way he said it last night just made me feel so special. I just love him and am soo thankful for him. He's rough and tough on the exterior and that sometimes can flow into the interior...you know, manliness and all...but at other times he can be sooo sweet and unexpected!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and decided to try and make it to a movie. I have been wanting to see that new movie Marly and Me. I hear it's a great movie and a tear jerker at that. Supposedly even grown men and teenage boys have been seen shedding a small tear in the movie theaters. Anyway, we drove to the closest movie theater and even one that wasn't so close and decided that the showing times that we could make it to was too late and would put us at home really late with the kids so we decided not to go see the movie. Instead we decided to browse in some of the shops of an outdoor mall and ended up in the Bath and Body Works store. GIRRRLLSS, let me tell you. They have got some GREAT deals going on right now! Lotions, creams, anti-bacterial hand washes and other things that range from $1.00 to $5.00!! I racked up! David asked them why they were getting rid of all of their stuff and some of it was newer stuff and the associate told him that they were getting all new packaging so they were having to get rid of all of the old stuff. Hey, I'll take it!! I'm thinking of going back...would make some great Christmas or birthday gifts!
After we left there we decided to head to the Cheesecake Factory for some dessert! It was kinda late and there was still a long wait so I went in and got us one slice of their Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake with two forks and we went to a local "lake" and shared our cheesecake. It was so nice to sit in the peace and quiet and enjoy our yummy dessert together. Those rare times always seem to be so special! We then headed to Dee-deeds to pick up our very sleepy babies and headed home.
Date nights are great and I am so thankful for my sister who loves my babies like they were her own and doesn't mind watching them so that David and I can spend some good quality time together! Thanks Dee-deed and we love you!! :)
Thanks honey for such a wonderful and enjoyable night! It was perfect!! :)

It's Official
We are expecting a baby boy!!
This is a picture of the baby's face as if he's looking at you.

This is the BOY shot.

This is the baby's foot.

Right now he is breech but the doctor said he looks great and weighs about 10 ounces. Meggy said she was a little disappointed that she wasn't going to have a baby sister but that she was happy she would have another baby brother to play with. Of course the boys are excited because you know....EWWWW girl's have cooties!
David said now there would be a better chance for one of his boys to go "pro". LOL!!
We feel very blessed! :)

Anti-Resolution
Well, the name of my blog says it all. I don't like to make New Year's resolutions because unlike some of you out there, I am actually one of the 99% of people that make resolutions and don't tend to keep them for whatever reason: laziness, boredom, making excuses, no motivation and I tend to pick the junkier food over the healthier and the list could go on and on. So instead of making a New Year's resolution list, how about a Life Changing list?
Now I know as soon as I actually type this out, accountability will immediately come in to play. Also the evil one will make sure I falter because he doesn't want victory over anything that is good for us or that will bring us closer to God. But we know who has already won that battle so if I can keep my eye on the prize then I know I will be victorious.
1. Turn to my loving and always forgiving Father more than I do now. Make it a priority. Turn to Him first before my husband, sister, mom, best friends or whoever else will listen. Make sure I take everything to Him including my thoughts, emotions, feelings, actions or whatever else that would take my focus away from Him and onto my pitiful self.
2. Make it more of a priority to read my Bible everyday. As a mom of 3 right now, I wonder where my time goes sometimes....oh wait, laundry, dishes, cleaning, errands etc. Why do I make time for those things but not more time with my Creator? The Savior who died for me so that I could do those things.
3. Spend more time with my babies. I sometimes focus so much on doing my domestic house duties that I often leave them asking me "Why don't you play with us?" SAD! I know and feel convicted and torn at the same time. They will only be little once and each day is passing by and I am missing it all for something that doesn't matter anyway and will eventually fade away.
4. Work on becoming more friendly and open. I really am a shy person and I think that comes across as being snobby or stuck up. I don't feel as though I am better than someone else. On the contrary I am always feeling like the unimportant one in the group. As if I don't have anything important to contribute to the situation. Does that make sense? I think it comes down to self image.
5. Work on the tone of my voice and facial expressions. For example, when we were at my brother's for Christmas, I was asked twice by two different people if I was ok. I really was ok, but apparently my facial expression said otherwise. It had been a very busy and exhausting week and I was extremely tired, but I was ok. Plus, I'm growing a little person so that plays into it some too. Anyway, sometimes my tone isn't what it should be either. I tend to, let's just say "raise" my voice a little too much with my babies and that's something I really need to work on. I don't want them to remember me as always "raising" my voice. Why is my tone much more harsh with my loved ones than with a stranger? Sometimes it really isn't meant to be that way, just comes out that way due to mere frustration, but....no excuses.
6. Finish things that I start. Sometimes I will start a project (ex:cleaning out the kids drawers but not really finishing the job....not packing the clothes up, laundry...ohhh how I hate to fold laundry) and then sometimes leave the project unfinished until I get sick and tired of seeing the unfinished project so I make myself finish. I need to be more assertive in finishing the projects in a timely manner. I can definitely be a procrastinator.
7. Get motivated to exercise. I have a best friend who absolutely loves to exercise and I sometimes think..why? Is it because she really loves to exercise? Is it "me time" or an "out" for her? I don't get it. I don't get those who just love to exercise. Maybe that's my problem. Maybe it's laziness. Not wanting to have to work at something so hard. Because we all know it is soooo easy to pack on the pounds but sooo hard to take them off. It isn't fair and this weight just isn't going to fall off by itself. I will have to work at it and work at it in a hard way. I'm limited to certain things right now because of the pregnancy but I am really going to try and work this extra baggage off after the baby comes. I want to start now by doing little things. Not taking the easy way out. I know it's not pleasing to my Creator for me to be this way and I know it's not that attractive to my hubby either. NOOO he hasn't said anything, but I know he must think it. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and should be treated respectfully and honestly, I haven't treated mine with much respect at all. One good thing.....since I have been pregnant I have had absolutely NO desire for fast food such as hamburgers, chicken or anything like that. I have really craved salads or sandwiches from Subway or Firehouse Subs. I do occasionally eat some french fries but the other stuff...gross!! Ewww!
These are some of the things I could think about now, and I'm sure I will be thinking of more. If you don't mind, please keep me in your prayers that I will be able to say (in a year from now) that I was victorious only by the Lord's doing! I know it will take a lot of discipline on my part to accomplish these things, but I know I'm not alone and know that God will help me...if I will be obedient and just take it to Him!

Happy New Year!
We didn't do much for New Year's Eve this year. We stayed around the house and lit some sparklers with the kids. With David working so much lately, he's just plain exhausted! I think David was asleep at 11:00p. I at least stayed up until midnight and woke him up too say Happy New Year. Then I called Dee-deed to say the same.
Happy New Year from our family to yours!!

Boogs was scared of the sparklers.

Bud and Meggy playing with their new air hockey table.
