The Fragrance of Creation

It is so beautiful outside today and of course I was driving (why is it that I am always driving?? LOL!) around with the sunroof open and I was praying and all of a sudden it hit me. God's creation is so fragrant! I mean, I always knew that it was, but something about that drive was intoxicating. I was going 70-75 miles an hour on the interstate and all I could smell was that sweet scent of honeysuckle almost as if I was standing right in front of a honeysuckle vine. I remember when I was a kid, my sister and I used to love to find some honeysuckle. We would ever so gently separate the flower from the stem to get that little drop of honeysuckle. Did anyone else used to do that? What fun and innocent times those were. And I started thinking about the beach. Maybe it's because I have major beach fever right now, but the beach has it's own distinctive smell..you know what I am talking about. The warm sunshine and the breeze. It's almost as if the sand has a smell..a beachy smell. And then you have the mountains. The air always seems to be so clean and crisp. How could anyone not think that there is a God? What a beautiful and fragrant place He has given us to live on!

Today was "Muffins with Mom" for Meggy's class. It was so sweet. The classes got up on stage and sung a cute song and you know me..I had the crocodile tears. Then we sat down and enjoyed some yummy muffins, cheese and fruit. They had made some cute Mother's Day things with their hand and fingerprints for us to bring home. WOW! I'm so blessed! She is so tenderhearted and sweet and I am honored to be her mom!

Standing on the stage singing their sweet little Mother's Day song.

Eating her chocolate muffin. Can you see the blue flower pot with the pink flower in it that she made for me?
