Life Lately Two

I just realized as I was about to upload pics to blogger, that I haven't taken very many pictures of Boogs, Bud or Mimi. It's not that I don't want to, it's just so hard when they are at school all day. Plus, when I pick them up we are usually running errands, doing homework, going to baseball practice or a game, eating supper, getting showers...whatever....it's so busy at night, BUT I'll try to do better! In the meantime, here are some more pictures of little man!

Walking...yep, he's walking!!



Out of the four of them, he is the one that started walking the earliest. Mimi and Bud started walking around 10 1/2months, Boogs started walking around 12months. Little Man here, started walking at 9 1/2months. He's almost running now sometimes. I can't believe he is growing up so fast!

You can really see his chompers here. He actually has two coming in on the bottom too. He is getting those four front ones and the top ones started to come in first. He's backwards on the teeth. All of the others teeth started to come in around 6-7 months. His are just now coming in.

Life Lately

Life is just so fun isn't it? Lots going on in our household. We are good!

My post before the last one has really still been on my mind. Every time I get on the highway that runs in front of my neighborhood, that whole scenario just plays over and over in my mind. And as it turns out, one of the people involved in the car chase has been connected to one of my family members within the last six months. Isn't it weird how things turn out? This person is still in jail to my knowledge and so I don't think he even knows who it was he almost hit. I never met him directly but I still know him if you know what I mean. Anyway, God is good and that's all that matters!

We took a trip with our friends, Chris and Lee and Stefanie, to the zoo. It wasn't the zoo in my city because well, I'll just say it.....our zoo stinks (figuratively and literally)!

We had a great time and the kids loved it!

We had a great day that day! I did get pictures of the animals but I didn't think anyone would care to see those....we all know what a zebra, giraffe, bear etc. look like. LOL! :)

God Spared Our Life Today 4/7/10

This actually happened today. I wanted to write this down because first of all, I didn't want to forget it. Secondly, I wanted to write about God and how good He is.

It was time for me to pick up the kids from school. I grabbed Boogs and Little Man and got in the van , strapped them in and started to pull out of the garage. I suddenly remembered that I had a bill to put in the mail, so I pulled back into the garage and ran upstairs to find the bill. I couldn't find it at first and asked God to help me find it and sure enough, I found it. So, I then went back downstairs, got back in the van, pulled back out of the garage and shut the door. I had just pulled out of my subdivision and was on my way on Hwy 70 when I saw two cars coming the opposite direction just over the hill and all of a sudden the second car, a white Jeep Grand Cherokee, whipped around the car he was behind and got over in my lane. He was going so fast that you could tell he was about to lose control of his car. There were two people I could see. The driver had on a white shirt.

Anyway, the speed limit is 50 or 55 through there I think. I really believe he was going 70-90 mph. He saw me and was trying to get back over before he hit me. I could tell he was about to lose it , but God spared me and the boys. He got back over in his lane and if I hadn't pulled over to the side in complete fear, he would have hit me head on. I laid on my horn. I think it was instant anger and complete adrenaline that was flowing through my veins. Anger because he was going so fast and could have hit me, possibly severely injuring me and the boys or killing us and adrenaline because of what was happening at the moment. I then saw why he was going so fast. He was running from the police. There were probably 10-15 police cars chasing him down this two lane highway.

I picked up my phone and immediately called David. When I heard his voice, I lost it. I was trying to tell him that I had almost been in a horrible head on collision and he thought I was saying that I had actually been in an accident. I'm sure I scared him half to death. He kept asking me if I was alright and I was...just shaken up severely. As I was telling him about what happened, I realized that God had spared me and boys. You see, I really believe that if I had left just a tad bit earlier....if I hadn't remembered that bill that I needed to mail, I would have been at that exact spot that he decided to go around the car in front of him. We could have been really hurt or killed. I just thank God for protecting us. For keeping us safe when someone else was in the wrong.

You can chock it up to mere coincidence or saying that I was in the right spot at the right time, but that wouldn't be right. God protected us...He took His mighty hand and shielded us from harm!

Thank you Lord Jesus for your protection!

Happy Monday

I hope each of you had a wonderful and Happy Easter celebrating our RISEN Lord and Savior! It was a great day reflecting on what the only perfect man that ever lived did for each of us! He took on our sin so that we could have life! I love the song "In Christ Alone" and these lyrics especially:

How awesome is that? He that knew no sin became sin on the cross for me and for you. What an awesome and undeserving gift, that was given to us because of the greatest LOVE ever! I hope and pray that if don't have that personal relationship with Jesus that He desires with you , that you will open your heart and accept him! Step out in faith!! He's waiting for you!

David was the only one scheduled to work in his work center yesterday so unfortunately he was working, but I did get myself and the kids ready for church and off we went.

We stopped and took a few pictures before church because it was such a beautiful morning!

Saturday morning it was rainy and overcast so instead of going to an egg hunt, we decided to dye our own!

David and I usually wait to give the kids their Easter baskets after church because we want them to focus on the true meaning of Easter, but since David had to work and me and the kids were meeting my family for lunch right after church, we decided to go ahead and give them their baskets before church so that David could enjoy that time with them.





I didn't really do an Easter basket for Little Man because he's just too little for all of the candy, but he enjoyed playing with his new toy!

After lunch, we all went over to my mom's house and hid Easter eggs for the kids to find. I think it took longer for us to hide the eggs then for them to find them. LOL! It was so fun!
