Forgotten? Nooooo.....

I haven't forgotten about blogging...I'm just trying to get adjusted to being a mom of four now and trying to get in some extra sleep. LOL! :)

Playing Catch-up..Written on the 20th...

The last two weeks have been emotionally and physically exhausting. Besides it being the end of the school year, we've had some bad news in regards to health in some of my family members, the ending of baseball season only to find out that Bud did make AllStars (which we are very excited about!!), everyday life and also that I have been in the hospital all day for the past two Tuesdays because of issues. I told you about last Tuesday but yesterday I had an appointment and everything was fine. We left, got some lunch and stopped by David's mom's to visit with her for a little bit and I realized that I was bleeding. Not normal for me...it was a lot! So I called the Dr.'s office back and they suggested that I come back in to be checked out. We ended up staying for a few more hours back in the same recovery room as last Tuesday down in Labor and Delivery. They were just checking to see if the bleeding had stopped and to monitor the baby and contractions. I think I had more contractions last Tuesday than I did yesterday. I'm exhausted! Thankfully, as far as we know, everything is fine with me and the baby. My wonderful Dr. thinks that when I had my examination yesterday morning, she must have "stirred something up" to make the bleeding start. I'm ok, but still have some residue left and maybe that's normal. Not too much longer until we meet our little man. I am nervous, excited and anxious all at the same time. I am supposed to go back to the dr on Thursday to have another NST and ultrasound where they measure the amniotic fluid. We'll see.

This past Saturday we went to Bud's baseball party for his team.

_

The kids had so much fun! We also had Bud's last day at school on Friday. This has been a great year for Bud. He has changed so much! He's really a funny little guy who can be rough when needed but also so sweet and loving too. Here's a few pics from his party and program at school.

Bud and Mrs. Jo. We love Mrs. Jo!!! She has been the best thing for Bud this year!

Ok, so A LOT has happened since I wrote this. Don't worry, it's all good, but it's amazing how God works and how He works things out. I can't wait to explain what I am talking about, but right now I'm exhausted and need to go to bed.

I know that most of you already know because of facebook or because you are family, but for those that don't, our new little man made his arrival on Friday, May 22 at 2:07pm. He is soo precious and cute! Like I said, I'll write more later. But know this, we are truly, truly blessed!!

Here I Go Again...

I'm not complaining at all but just prefacing my post for today with what happened on Tuesday. It didn't start out or end very well. First of all, I had a dr's appointment on Tuesday, so I dropped the kids off around 10:00a at my bestest friends house, Stephanie. Bless her heart, she didn't realize, nor I for that matter that they would end up staying there until after 6:00p.

I stopped by Mcdonalds to get an egg mcmuffin and a Dt. Dr. Pepper so that when I got to my dr's appointment, the baby would be active. I am addicted to Dt.Dr. Pepper so it was much to my disdain that when I poked my straw in the cup and was anxiously waiting for that yummy first sip of drink to travel up the straw...I was hit with the realization that I had been given Dt. Coke. YUCK! I'll drink it if it's the last thing available but otherwise, I'm sticking with Dt. Dr. Pepper. I was irritated just a tad. Then I opened my egg mcmuffin and started eating it and realized that the yellow part of the egg (which is supposed to be the same consistency of when you boil an egg) was runny. EWWWW! I had to eat around it which wasn't very good because if you've ever had an egg mcmuffin then you know they don't add anything to it. I mean come on....please slap some mustard or mayo or jelly or something on it so it's not so dry. So anyway, I headed off to the dr with my runny egg mcmuffin and Dt. Coke.

My dr's office is at a very popular hospital and when I got there, there was no where to park. They added a new parking deck to the existing one a few years ago and so I don't normally have a problem finding a space, but Tuesday I did. Go figure. I circled the parking deck several times and thankfully I found a spot up close to the door. Thank you Lord! Of course I was late for my appointment.

I went to sign in for my appointment and the girl calls my name and says, I don't see that you are scheduled for today. I said "What?" I told her that I had scheduled my NST (nonstress test) and Ultrasound with AFI (checking amniotic fluid level because I'm on insulin) last Tuesday for 10:30a and 11:00a. She looked on her sheet and sure enough my name wasn't to be found. I was a tad irritated and the fact that my bladder was about to explode didn't help much either. She started looking on her sheet again and realized that there was another woman scheduled at the same times as me for the same things and she figured that they probably typed in the wrong name. Ok that seemed ok until I heard that the ladies last name ended with a "W" and mine ends with a "T". Now how could they mess that up? I'm sure there are LOTS of patients between me and the "W" lady. Anyway, she said not to worry that they would take me back. As I got into the room , the ultrasound tech told me that she had my paperwork and that they had checked the other lady and that she wasn't even pregnant. I'm sure she would have been glad to know that she was scheduled for two tests dealing with pregnancy when she wasn't even pregnant. LOL!!

The ultrasound tech started on my ultrasound and quickly asked me what my levels were the last time I was there. So I told her and then she told me that my levels were on the low end and that the baby was already measuring at what my second child was when he was born. WHOAA, do we have a big baby on our hands? My hubby was 9lbs and 11oz....I hope this one isn't that big.

Anyway, I finished with my tests and went around to see my dr. When I finally got back in the room, she told me that she wanted me to go downstairs to the Labor and Delivery floor for them to monitor me and the baby and to re-check my amniotic fluid. I headed down that way and got situated in the room. I was told that I was going to have two bags of fluid (thinking that my levels were low because of dehydration) and that they would be checking to see if I was having spontaneous contractions. If not, then I would have to do what they call a contraction stress test. Have you ever done one of those? I was hoping I wouldn't have to do one because I would have to rub my nipples for two minutes every five minutes to stimulate a contraction. Nice huh? I shutter. Thank the Lord, I had three spontaneous contractions within ten minutes and that's what they were looking for so I was happy when she said no rubbing would be involved!

I called David to let him know what was going on and he said that he was going to get off work early to come down there and stay with me because they told me that I would be there for at least 3-4 hours. There was absolutely nothing on the tv either except those supposedly real but look really fake judgy shows and I hate those, so I watched the channel that showed the camera's view of the outside of the hospital. Sad huh? I did get to see when David drove up into the hospital which was funny.

So three bags of fluid later I was resent for an ultrasound. This new to me ultrasound tech said that my fluid levels hadn't changed much. So back up to the room I went and waited for instructions from my dr. After she finished with the C-section she was working on, she poked her head in and said that I could go home and to come back on Thursday to repeat the NST and Ultrasound. All in all I was there from about 10:45a to well after 6:00p. Thankfully my awesome sister picked up the kids from Stephanie's house and brought them home and even gave them a bath!!

I'm so thankful for my hubby and sister and my friend! Thank you guys for making the day a little bit easier. It was a stressful and long day! I didn't sleep very well Tuesday night either, but I won't go into all of that. I had some weird things going on and I don't know if it was due to exhaustion or stress or high sugar levels or if my mind was tricking me or if I was dreaming all of it, but believe me, it was weird.

So I'm headed back to the dr's today to see what they say. Please say a prayer that everything will be ok. I would really love to have this little fellow today, but it's all in God's timing. I think he agrees with me too, because he just kicked me.

Updates

Like I said before, there is lots to chat about. So here goes....

Baseball season is over with and I'm actually kinda sad. I loved going to see Bud play and see the excitement when he would get better and better. His last two games were last Friday and Saturday. They did very well on Friday's game and won. He played the circle,

and also played first base (please excuse the fence).

He also won the game ball again! Can't you see the happiness on his face? He did great!

His final game was Saturday. They won that one too to finish out the season with 11 wins and only 3 losses! I think they ended up as #2. Saturday was an even more exciting game for Bud and us because he hit his first home run!! You should have seen all of us! We were a bunch of screaming banshee's but it was awesome. I don't think he even realized what a home run was, but we sure did! He also won the game ball on Saturday for hitting his first home run. He was soooo excited to win the game ball two games in a row, plus the coach gave everybody another game ball because it was the last game. So in total, Bud got 4 game balls. I think that really boosted his confidence in playing!

Family pic AND the only picture you'll see of my pregnant belly because after looking at this picture, I realize I look like a giant cherry tomato. LOL! :)

Proud daddy and Bud!

Last team picture.

Last "Goooo Cardinals!"

We have signed him up to be eligible for All stars. We are waiting to hear about that.

Mother's day was awesome! David had asked me what I would like for Mother's Day and I told him that I would just like some ferns for my planters outside. Simple enough huh? BUT he surprised me with this! It's a mini laptop. I am so excited and it is soo cute! I'm so glad he thinks outside of the box sometimes! :)

Acer Aspire One Pictures, Images and Photos

He also got me some beautiful roses from the kids! My favorite color! :)

The kids wanted to play baseball in the backyard..here are a few pics from that and yes, Boogs is in his skivvies. HA!

Look at Boogie's stance..hilarious!

Running the bases...

It was a great day and David, the kids and Dee-deed made it so special! They cooked all the meals for the day and my mom came over to eat lunch with us. It was relaxing and I just enjoyed being a mom. Thanks babe! I love you and thank you again for making Mother's day so special for me!

We made a craft at MOPS last month and I just loved what we did so I decided to start making some myself. Our neighborhood is having a community yard sale this weekend and I thought about trying to sell them. We'll see how they do. What do you think?

I told you I had lots to chat about....and even more, but this post has been long enough. Maybe later today...we'll see how the day goes.

Happy Mother's Day!

Wow! Lots of things to chat about, but I'm tired and ready for bed. Don't worry, no baby yet! I just wanted to say that I hope each of you mommies out there had a wonderful Mother's Day and to those who long to be a mommy, God is in control and He knows your heart. Keep trusting in Him!

To my mom:

I enjoyed our Mother's Day lunch with you! I love you so much! Thank you mom for always loving me when I was/am so unlovable at times! Thanks for being my friend as well as my mom! You are so special to me!

To my M&M's:

Thank You Lord for allowing me to be the mother of these three precious children. Thank you Lord for each of their different personalities. It's tough sometimes, but I wouldn't change it for the world. They are so special to me and I am just so thankful and blessed to have them in my life. You have truly blessed my life beyond all that I could imagine. I don't deserve these precious gifts. Thank you Lord for the privilege of being their mom! I love you babies!!!! :)

Bubbles, Baseball and Muffins

The kids love blowing bubbles so I snapped a few pics of them having fun.

Bud's baseball season is almost over. I can't believe it either. It seems just like yesterday that I was posting how he was starting coach pitch baseball. We played the #1 team the other night and came back from 12-1 in the second inning to win the game 21-20. We were tied and had one batter left and our last batter hit a home run which allowed us to win by one point. It was such an intense game!! Of course there was controversy in regards to the score. There was screaming coaches, umpires and parents. We couldn't believe it. I don't even know if the boys realized how big of a win that was for the team. The coaches and parents sure did!!

After the game, Coach Kevin was talking to the kids about how they had just beaten the #1 team...

and then the other Coach Kevin (Assistant Coach) was distracting the kids...

So that Coach Kevin could do this....They loved it!

Today was Muffins with Mom at Bud's school. I love going to little things like this because it's always so sweet. They are only little once and I cherish these precious memories.

Here's the song they sang to us mom's (to the tune of Jesus loves me):

Mommy loves me this I know..
For she always tells me so..

Hugs and kisses she gives me..
When I fall and scrape me knee..

Yes, mommy loves me,
Yes, mommy loves me,
Yes, mommy loves me,

She always tells me so.

Isn't that just the sweetest!

I love you my sweet Bud!!

Update on Prayer Request

Please continue to keep the Staffords/Jones' in your prayers. Johnna delivered Elizabeth Ann yesterday. Sadly, little Elizabeth went to be in the loving arms of her heavenly father. I know this sweet family is heartbroken and grieving for their precious daughter and granddaughter. Please pray for peace that passes all understanding. Thank you so much!
