I was "tagged" on Facebook a while back and am just now getting around to posting these.
1. I don't normally like change with anything, but I like to change houses. Odd huh? Especially since that's a pretty big change. I like the "starting over in a new place feel". I think it would be fun to "flip" a house, but I don't think I'm brave enough to actually try it.
2. When David and I were dating, we would often take one day trips down to the beach. On one trip, he was so tired I offered to drive so he could nap. While I was driving I became extremely sleepy and saw a black (shadow like) hand with it's pointer finger waving at me to continue driving. It scared me so bad I had to wake David up and make him drive the rest of the way.
3. I am addicted to Dt. Dr. Pepper...yummy! :)
4. Allison and I are 3 minutes apart. I was born first so technically I am the oldest! LOL! She was breech and apparently I kicked her a lot in the womb because she came out black and blue. I know...awwwww. But, we were the first set of twins on my mom's side in 71 years.
5. I once went on a date with someone who got mad because I didn't want to kiss him. Oh well. He was a player.
6. I don't care for dogs very much, but we bought a dog three years ago anyway. He's now my nephew...He loves Allison better.
7. I love listening to music. If you see me driving down the road and I'm singing, well then just let me sing!! If I'm not singing, then that means the kids are watching a movie. Gotta love those built in DVD players!
8. When I was little, I wanted to be a fireman.
9. I'm not very "high maintenance". I rarely go shopping for myself or have my nails done or basically do anything for myself. I would rather buy my kids clothes or do something to make them happy.
10. I'm ashamed to admit this, but I am an Auburn fan because of a boy that I liked in fourth grade. He was for Auburn and I thought he would like me better if I switched from Alabama to Auburn....yeah, well.....He never liked me that way , but I have LOVED AUBURN ever since!!
11. I love to go fishing, but rarely ever get the chance. I went deep sea fishing one time for my birthday, thanks to Faith, and loved it!! I would love to do it again sometime.
12. I used to tell Allison that she was adopted.
13. I don't remember a lot about my childhood. Allison can tell you mi-nute details about things at a particular time, but I can't. I am good with recent details.
14. I would rather clean than cook.
15. I just discovered last year that I don't think outside of the box. I guess that makes me pretty square or just plain air heady.
16. I have had my cat, Ittie-bittie, for 13-14 years.
17. My prom dress came unhooked and fell down while getting into my date's car at my Jr. Prom. I don't think he saw my ta-ta's. LOL! ;)
18. I love Laffy-Taffy and almost anything chocolate. I don't care for dark chocolate though.
19. I was so excited when I realized that David was proposing to me that I put my foot in my mouth and blurted out "Are you going to get down on one knee?" Of course he did!!
20. I thought I was fat in high school.
21. My two favorite places to eat is Outback and Ichiban!
22. I'm really shy and sometimes that comes off as me being snobby or stuck up , but I'm really not that way.
23. I can't stand it when people keep their blinds closed all day long. Why have windows if you don't want to see and enjoy the outside?
24. The only Christmas I remember growing up as a child was when we lived in Mobile and we had bright orange carpet, but that was the year I got my care bear and red and white checkered baby doll stroller. I loved them so much and still have both of them now.
25. When I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, I was on the phone with my "boyfriend" and wasn't paying attention and stepped onto the corner edge of a metal toolbox shelf that my dad had left out and almost cut one of my toes off. I had 8 stitches. Then in jr high, I broke my foot playing soccer in P.E. I had a bright pink cast that went GREAT with my green, gold and white cheerleading uniform. I wasn't allowed to get white because it would get too dirty. Ugh!

Prayer Request
I have recently started following a blog called KellysKornerBlog and she had a prayer request on there yesterday about a mom who gave birth to their baby daughter at 28 weeks. As you can see from my ticker, I am at 28 weeks and this really hit home with me. Please visit the Wagner Family to read up on this story and pray for this family and their little girl. She has been able to post some pictures of their baby girl and it makes it soo real for me. How often do you get to see a baby at 28 weeks? It makes me pray extra hard for the safety of our little one as he continues to grow. She is so precious. Please keep them in your prayers!

I Don't Normally Like Change, but I Love This!
We have had painters here this week to update some of the areas in our house. We've only been here 3 1/2 years but with three little ones and the previous colors we had...well, let's just say that it wasn't workin' out. Just thought I'd share some pictures of what we had done. I LOVE the colors we chose and how they actually turned out!! (And thanks to my bestest friend Stephanie for the living room color...I actually "stole" it from her.)
Well, I thought that I had a picture of our living room before but I guess not so here is what it looks like now. The paint color is called Mississippi Mud by Beher. It is so different from what we had, but I love it! I joke that I'm afraid of color because you just never know how things will turn out, but this turned out great! It's dark enough that if..no..when little finger prints end up on it, they won't show up as easily as the other color we had(it was almost an ecru or khaki color).
Oh and yes, the walls and tv area are bare at the moment. I'm almost afraid to re-hang pictures on the walls, but all in due time...all in due time.
This is part of our stairwell.
The biggest change for me has been our bedroom and bathroom. They are painted the same color and it's sooo relaxing and automatically a calming color. The color is called Sonata and it's also by Beher. It's almost as if you are looking up at a beautiful blue Spring sky.
I especially love how the ceiling turned out!
We have also decided to get a new bedroom suite. A more "grown up" bedroom suite I should say. We decided to downgrade from a king to a queen. I know...you're probably thinking we are crazy for doing that, but we have had a king size bed for the last six to seven years and feel like we are on opposite sides of the room from each other. We want to feel closer together (as if we need to be any closer..HAHAHAAAA!!)..Does that make sense? Anyway, we are hoping to get the suite this weekend and I have already called and ordered our mattresses. We have a local guy that I used to go to church with, who owns a bedding store and he actually makes the mattresses there on site. He also is basically the only person still in town to have flippable mattresses. We have had a non-flip (aka: unable to flip) mattress and I hate it. It conforms to your body and has no where else to go so you are left with your "hole" and your spouse is left with his "hole" and then there's a hump in the middle. I like the flippable mattresses because after three or so months you flip it and things go back to where they are supposed to. It makes the mattresses last a lot longer. I'm soo excited and am hoping to be able to pick those up this weekend too!
I'm also excited about our suite because we will actually have a dresser and mirror. I have never had a dresser in my life. I've always had a chest of drawers and that is what we have now. It only has five drawers in it and all of my things are crammed into two of the drawers and David has the other three. No fair huh? Yeah, so I have told him that when we get the dresser, it's all mine and he gets the chest of drawers. LOL!!
When we went to visit my aunt and uncle back in 2008, my cousin had re-done one of their bedrooms. She had this comforter on the bed that I fell in love with. I found one at Bed Bath & Beyond but wasn't able to purchase it at that time because I knew we might be getting a new bedroom suite. Well, now that we really are going to do this I went in search for the comforter again. This time, I couldn't find it on their website and barely found it in the store. I saw one on the very highest shelf of the bedding area and asked the associate if she could check on it for me. She climbed up the ladder to only find a king and two double sizes. So I asked her if she could search the other local stores to see if they had a queen size. She told me that it was now considered a "discontinued" item and more than likely they wouldn't have one. And of course, they didn't. BUT she said she could order it for me and they would search the stores in other states to see if they could locate one and then it would be shipped to me. I said ok. So I ordered it and thankfully she said that they would NOT charge me for the shipping AND I had a 20% coupon so it ended up that I was going to be able to get what I wanted, which was normally $150 for only $88. I was soo excited and told her YES,YES, order it for me!! It came about a week later and I'm sooo excited.
I know it's going to look beautiful against the new paint color. I'm tickled to death!! Thank you Lord for GREAT deals!! :)

What Do You Do In Your Car?
Do you ever really pay attention to what you do when you are driving? The other day, I was putting on my make-up in the van and started noticing what others were doing in their car as well.
I was behind this guy who was trying to dial or either text on his cell phone and then he started looking at himself in his rear view mirror. He was looking at his teeth which by the way looked scary white. I mean, I was in my car right behind him and his teeth were illuminating with whiteness. Almost as if he had a black light in his car somewhere. It really was quite freaky. We went on for at least a mile (creeping along because traffic was horrendous) with him staring at his teeth and talking on the phone. Then I noticed another person next to me and she had a cell phone to which she was dialing and not paying attention to the road. I also saw people who were talking on the phone, eating or laying so far back in their seat that they make me want to lay down and go to sleep. I mean, how do people drive that way...laying so far back? How do they even see over the dashboard? I, of course, was also digging through my purse for something and it really made me think about safety on the road and how I was not being a party to it. Paying attention to stuff other than driving. Obviously I'm paying somewhat attention to driving, but probably not like I should. I need to do better with that especially since I am carrying precious cargo in my car. Just wondering if you put on your make-up too when you are driving or do you put in on at home? I'm 50/50 with that.
Also, PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: For those of you who might feel the need to pick your nose, please remember that you DO NOT have an invisible shield that goes up automatically when you drive. We all can see you doing it and it's especially gross when you decide to ball it up and roll it around in your fingers. GAG! :P Get a tissue people!! LOL!
Oh please don't think I'm ranting. :) I just think it's kinda funny what people do in their cars when they think no one is looking. It doesn't matter if you are putting on make-up, intently staring at your overly white illuminating teeth, shoving a hamburger in your mouth, talking on the cell phone or even grossly picking your nose. I've even heard of newly married couples, Hmmm...how can I be tactful?....Well YOU KNOW, while they are driving!!! How can that be? Anyway, our attention is elsewhere at that moment and just wondering if it really should be? LOL!

We actually had snow here on the 1st. It was so pretty coming down and we loved being able to get out in it and play.

I was tired after doing this several times and my coat wouldn't stay buttoned because of "the bump". LOL!!! :)
The finished product. Sad, I know. Play sausage for eyes, a red ball for the nose,a green foamy dart for the mouth and a Lightening McQueen hat. Oh and the football was David's contribution. Something's missing huh?? Yep, it's the arms. We didn't have any sticks to use for arms. Oh well!

Overall we ended up with about 3-4 inches of snow. It was so beautiful but by the afternoon, it had melted away. We sure did have fun playing in it and looking at it! Thank you Lord for your beautiful creation! :)

It's Never Ending It Seems...But I'm Thankful
We had Bud's birthday party at Pump-It-Up and he had a blast!
Bud had a field trip to Domino's Pizza and he had fun making his own pizza and watching it being cooked.
Bud also had his first baseball practice this last week and he wasn't quite ready to participate that first practice and I'll just leave it at that, but he was ready for the second practice. Here are some pics of that day.
Well, it's official. I'm on insulin. It's because of the gestational diabetes for which I am so glad. I only hope it goes away after this little bundle of joy arrives. It doesn't hurt to give myself the shot and I even let the kids watch me sometimes in hopes that they won't freak out themselves when it's time for them to have another shot. Thankfully, the needles I use are short and thin so if it hurts, it's only because I haven't let the alcohol completely dry on my leg. I didn't have to go on insulin with Boogs (M#3) and I was hoping not to have to with this little guy, but not so. That's ok though. If it means a healthier baby than that's ok with me. Please continue to keep both of us in your prayers as we only have (Lord willing) about 12 weeks to go. YAY!! :)
