Boogie was soo happy to play "bay-ball" this year! He loved it! I wanted to make sure he didn't miss his party because I had a MAJOR MOM FAIL two weeks before the party.
Boogie's last game was on a Saturday at 12:00p....OR SO I THOUGHT. We got ready and headed up to the ball park with the whole family and bat bag and fully dressed in our mom and dad team shirts etc. Got up to the ballpark and ran into one of the ladies that helps to run the league that we have become friends with. She said "What are ya'll doing here?" and David said "M-------, has a game at 12:00p" and she looked at him funny and said "No, his game was at 9:00 this morning". I'm sorry WHAT?? I could have totally died! I felt soo horrible but I swore my calendar said 12:00p. Boogie was so sad that he missed his game. He kept saying, "When do I get to play in my bay-ball game?" I had to tell him that we missed it. We ended up staying for another teams game, but it wasn't the same. I had to fight back the tears all day knowing *I* had messed up somehow. The look in his eyes was heartbreaking. The first thing I did when we got home was check my calendar and SURE ENOUGH it said 9:00a. UGH!! MOM FAIL!!!
