Updates Galore

In my last post I mentioned how sweet my husband was and how he knows me so well. We decided to exchange our Valentine's between each other and the kids before Valentine's day since we were having out of town guests. I had made David and the kids these felt weaved heart shaped candy holders at MOPS. They were red and white and were sooo cute and filled them with candy and conversation hearts. We had also gotten the kids a few other little silly things. They loved it!

Then David surprised me with a black and white, blown up and framed picture of my grandmother's house that I had taken a few years ago. It was beautiful and such a sweet gesture from him since my grandmother had just recently passed away. He also gave me a heart shaped box of chocolates and also surprised me with some burp cloths that he had monogrammed with our expectant little ones name on it. If you know me at all, you know that I love monogrammed stuff. I just think it is so cute and personal. And then he gave me this......

HAHA I LOVED IT!! You know what they say about green M&M's!!
This cracked me up...it's on the front of the bag.

And this is what it says on the back of the package(David cut it out thinking he was helping me so I don't have a picture of the back).

"MPORTANT NOTICE: Consumption of The Green Ones may result in elevated Romance Levels. If you experience this effect, contact your Significant Other immediately. No official agency has verified these statements..but what do they know about romance anyway?"

I thought that statement was hilarious and I'm still laughing about it! :)

My grandmother, uncle and aunt on my dad's side came and spent the weekend with us. We had such a great time with them here! They are the most down to earth loving people. They don't judge you, don't expect anything from you, don't have anything ugly to say about anybody and they are just so fun to be around! Here are a few pictures from last weekend.

Judi, Uncle Ronnie & Aunt Susan

My hilarious Mama. I love her outlook on things. Everything she sees or does is like she is seeing it for the first time in her life...it's cute and hilarious!

My Uncle Ronnie waving at Dee-deeds camera and my brother Steven just glaring. ;)

Dee-deed and Boogs.

This was one of the few times I actually sat down last weekend. :)

My gorgeous hubby doing what he loves best...grilling!!

Aunt Susan making sure all the trimmings were there.

All of the cousins playing outside.

Steven tickling Boogs.

More tickling.

It was such a fun and relaxing weekend! This was our first time really hosting family and we definitely hope they will come back and visit. We hope that they felt just as at home at our house as we do when we go visit at their house.

Just a few pictures from Bud's Valentine's party at school. He's such a sweetie!

Since I am his room mom, I try to come up with ideas of things I think the kids will like. For Valentine's day, I made heart shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cut stawberries to look like hears and had heart shaped pretzels. For their "dessert" I made heart shaped rice krispie treats, some of them the normal color and some of them red. I think I used too much red food coloring in the red batch because the hearts looked as though they were bleeding...LOL. The kids still ate them though!

Bud making his craft. It was a bookmark with foam conversation hearts on it. The kids really enjoyed making these. Bud gave his bookmark to me and it's in my Bible.

My sweet friend Melissa had a baby shower this weekend. She is having a girl so it was all pink and brown for the shower. Soo cute!

We have signed Bud up for baseball. We originally thought that he would be playing tee-ball but due to a typo in our local newsletter we soon found out on sign up day that he would be playing coach pitch baseball. I am excited for him but nervous at the same time because this is his first time playing a sport. I think he will have fun and do great! They had a evaluation day this past Saturday to access what the kids skills were. Here a some pictures from Saturday.

Waiting for his name to be called...and yes, I have colored out the name of the city on his shirt...in case you were wondering. :)

Getting instruction as to what to do.

More instruction.

Watching the ball being hit to him.

Getting the ball...throw it Bud!

One of the coaches showing him where to stand.

Right after he hit the ball...run Bud, run!!

We were out at the ballpark for 2 1/2 hours and by the time we got home, we were frozen. It wouldn't have been so bad if the wind hadn't blown the entire time. We still had fun watching all of the little kids go through the process of being evaluated. They were soo cute and some of the little guys were smaller than Bud. It should be a fun season! I'm excited and I know Bud is!

Wow! Looks like y'all have been busy, but fun busy!!

I just saw a bag of green M&M's in the store today and chuckled to myself, and wondered if they were all green or if it was just the bag. . . now I know!

I haven't had a chance to read everyone's blogs lately because we've been battling various illnesses.

Looks like you've been very busy, but had a lot of fun with it. You are blessed to have such a sweet hubby who puts so much thought into what you like. That is rare in a man.

I've been wondering how you're feeling, but I assume since you've been so busy that you must be feeling pretty good. : )
